DG Operator
A diesel generator (DG) (also known as diesel genset) is the combination of a diesel engine with an electric generator (often an alternator) to generate electrical energy. This is a specific case of engine-generator. As the person is taking care such kind of machine so all they are well knowledgeable and trained to understand work requirement.
- Maintenance of DG sets as per A, B C checks.
- Troubleshooting the issues related to engine and alternator.
- Knowledge on type and operations of DG sets.
- Maintaining sufficient fuel stock and coordination with diesel filling team.
- Knowledge in study and understand the SL drawings.
- Maintain the HT LT Generators.
- Maintaining power and utility log books.
- Maintaining standard CPH values.
- Maintenance of DG rooms clean and hygiene.
- Maintenance of HSEF standards and its documentation.
- Planning and completing the PM activities of DG sets as per Schedule.
- Attending emergency BM activities for DG sets.
- Coordination with BMS team, OEMs and Vendors.
- Operation of CGUs and Sync panels.
- Close monitoring on EB and DG power supplies and quick action during power changeovers
